Overview

We are investigating the effects of various work arrangements on employees and the quality of the workforce in the future.

Specifically, we are interested in understanding how flexible hours, remote working, hybrid working, and temporary contracts affect employee retention, motivation, promotion, upskilling, workplace relationships, and psychological factors.

For instance, one of our projects focuses on exploring how being on temporary or short-term contracts can impact people’s career growth and skill development. In another project, we investigate how the communication of diversity, equity, and inclusion messages might influence online gig workers’ motivation.
