Carbon Capture Storage (CCS) can address coal’s reality as part of the world’s energy economy, with the potential to provide a significant arrest in climate change. The challenge to its implementation is not the technology, but rather the scale of ambition to adopt it. Despite the provision of stimulus packages by both the US and EU, large-scale CCS projects are few and far between.
