Cambridge Judge Business School was delighted to welcome to the Business School the Cambridge MBA alumnus Dimitris Tsikopoulos (MBA 1994) to mark his £750,000 donation to launch the Navarino CJBS Masters Scholarship at Cambridge Judge.
Dimitris, CEO of Greece-based maritime technology firm Navarino, met on 15 November with some MBA and Executive MBA (EMBA) students who have been impacted by his generosity, and also met with faculty and others at the Business School including Professor Gishan Dissanaike, Incoming Dean at Cambridge Judge.
The Navarino Masters Studentship scholarships at the Business School are valued up to £65,000 for MBA students and £85,000 for EMBA students, and are awarded based on academic excellence. The scholarship is open to all Cambridge MBA and EMBA applicants, with priority to students experiencing financial hardship and who would not otherwise enrol at Cambridge Judge.
How extraordinary commitment by alumni helps provide exceptional education
The new scholarships were first announced in June, when Gishan said:
Cambridge Judge Business School is enormously grateful for the very generous pledge by Dimitris, and I send deepest thanks on behalf of all faculty, staff and students at the Business School. It is the extraordinary commitment and unwavering support of alumni like Dimitris that help enable Cambridge Judge to provide exceptional education, foster innovation, and create a lasting social and business impact.
The masters students who met with Dimitris at the event were Asma’u Abiola (EMBA 2024), Yan Ru Lu (Alice Lu) (EMBA 2024), Khin Saw, EMBA 2024, Florian Anzengruber (EMBA 2024), and Parisa Montazeri (MBA 2024).
