Noopur started her career at D. E. Shaw & Co., a leading alternative asset management firm. Over the course of 4 years, she gained experience in diverse areas of finance such as real estate, private credit, and Special Situations.

Noopur says that it was the creativity and nuances in alternative finance that inspired her to deepen her understanding of finance and motivated her to pursue a masters degree. Being one of only a few post-experience finance masters programmes was also a key driver behind her decision to apply to the MFin programme.

She explains, “The Cambridge MFin stood out as the ideal choice – its unique position as a global post-experience programme brings forth the opportunity to learn from peers with diverse backgrounds, which adds an invaluable dimension to the masters experience. At the same time, Cambridge’s rich culture and multidisciplinary environment provide avenues to grow in all areas possible! It is incredibly awe-inspiring to be living and learning in the same environment as some of the greatest minds of this world.”

During her year at Cambridge, she is looking forward to expanding her horizons both academically and through activities outside the classroom.

I’m excited to immerse myself in a challenging academic setting, to build a strong, diverse network, and to just be curious and learn as much as I can! I look forward to leveraging this experience as an opportunity for both personal and professional growth, gaining insights and connections that will enrich my career well beyond the programme.

After completing her bachelors degree in Business Administration and Accounting, Natticha began her career as an Audit Associate at Pricewaterhouse Coopers. She then transitioned into a management consultant role at Accenture Thailand, where she worked with several financial institutions and large Thai banks, advising them on implementing digital strategies.

After 5 years of working in financial services industry, Natticha felt that the time was right for her to deepen her finance knowledge and delve further into corporate finance.

She is also looking forward to the opportunity to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds. “The most exciting thing is to be a part of Cambridge ecosystem, to learn and connect with peers from all over the world, both in and outside the classroom.”

On her expectations for the year ahead, she says, “I hope to make this year one of the most memorable years in my life; to enjoy Cambridge’s unique experiences while gaining solid knowledge in corporate finance, with the aim of advancing my career and taking on a more senior role in consulting in the financial services industry .”

Through the MFin programme, I will deepen my knowledge of the existing financial services, solidify my understanding of core banking and its business models, and learn about critical emerging topics.

Prior to joining the MFin, Taskia was working as a Senior Associate at PwC Indonesia’s Deals Advisory. In this role, she worked on M&A, debt raising, and business strategy projects for clients within the energy, utilities, and marine logistics sectors.

Her decision to apply to the Cambridge MFin was driven by a combination of factors, including Cambridge’s rich history in academic teaching coupled with the degree programme’s industry-focused approach.

Outside of the classroom, Taskia is looking forward to immersing herself in many of the Cambridge traditions. She says, “I am looking forward to savouring my time as a student at Cambridge by attending as many of the college brunches, formals, and Cambridge University Ladies Golf Club fixtures as possible.”

In terms of studies, I plan to deepen my understanding of the implementation of corporate finance strategies, along with the use of derivatives. This will expand my knowledge base when supporting a company’s fundraising, M&A, and FP&A demands.
