Cambridge Judge Business School will deliver environmental, social and governance (ESG) skills to KPMG employees around the world as part of new collaboration.
Cambridge Judge Business School faculty and other experts will deliver skills relating to environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues to employees of professional services firm KPMG as part of KPMG’s plans to provide ESG training to all its 227,000 people.
The training provided by Cambridge Judge is part of a multi-billion-dollar KPMG investment programme focusing on ESG change agenda that was announced by KPMG on 5 October, part of a new ESG strategy designed to support KPMG clients in making a positive difference in these key areas. The training is designed “to ensure that everyone is empowered to be an agent of positive change,” KPMG said in its announcement.
The KPMG collaboration with Cambridge Judge “will build ESG skills including the development of a learning framework and solutions to be applied across the KPMG global organisation, led by the Business School faculty and other experts associated with the school, beginning with hundreds of business leaders and with the ambition to reach all KPMG people around the globe,” the announcement said.
KPMG said its new global ESG strategy focuses on five priority areas: solutions, talent, supporting developing nations, collaborations and alliances, and listening and taking action.
“How you grow matters, and what worked for us and other businesses in the past will not work in the future,” said Bill Thomas, Global Chairman and CEO of KPMG. “The world faces crises on multiple fronts, which is why we’re putting the Environmental, Social and Governance agenda at the heart of everything we do.”
Added Richard Threlfall, Global Head of ESG and KPMG IMPACT, KPMG International: “Our global ESG strategy will help equip our people to make a difference, as well as mobilise data and technology in support. But we also recognise that the changes society is demanding will be realised most effectively through open collaboration based on trust, and we will continue to seek out opportunities to partner with other organisations that share our sense of purpose to enable a better future for everyone, everywhere.”
