To help create a more balanced and diverse workplace and to help more women reach senior positions of influence, Cambridge Judge Business School partnered with the 30% Club to offer a full scholarship for every time the Cambridge Rising Women Leaders Executive Education Programme runs (currently three times yearly).
To date, the Cambridge Rising Women Leaders Programme scholarship has been given to seven women, and the latest winner – Ola Oladele – has just been announced. Ola is the VP, Global Markets at Parthian Partners, based in Nigeria, and volunteers as Pioneer Chair for a gender diversity committee which aims to improve female representation in senior roles in the finance industry in Nigeria. Ola says that “Attending this programme will be exhilarating and will help chart the course for me to achieve my career ambitions as well as improve the impact of my volunteering”.
The Cambridge Rising Women Leaders Programme was designed and launched in 2017 specifically for high potential women aspiring to reach the top, or senior positions, within their organisations. The programme integrates cutting-edge research with skill-building workshops, allows participants to hear and learn from one another’s personal stories and paths to leadership, and creates a life-long supportive partnership with fellow participants and the CJBS community, including becoming a member of the Wo+Men’s Leadership Centre – one the of the 16 research centres here at the School.
Dr Patrizia Vecchi, the new Academic Programme Director for the programme, says, “I am so excited to be part of this programme and continue building on the work to date. The overwhelming response from talented women on the latest scholarship round is a testament to the programme’s impact. I am delighted Ola is the winner and that we will get to welcome her to Cambridge and on to the programme in March. She will bring a valuable perspective to the cohort”.
