Cambridge MBA student wins prestigious Forté Foundation award

Oluwatoyosi (Toyosi) Oni wins the Edie Hunt Inspiration Award from partner organisation Forté Foundation for helping women advance into business leadership posts.

Toyosi Oni, a Cambridge MBA student at Cambridge Judge Business School, has been awarded the Edie Hunt Inspiration Award by the Forté Foundation for contributions by a female MBA student for contributions to advance women into business leadership positions. 

The Forté Foundation recognises and supports women who have gone above and beyond to help advance other women into business leadership positions, through their business school or community. Cambridge Judge is a partner business school of the Forté Foundation, and the Business School works with the Foundation to award a number of scholarships each year to full-time Cambridge MBA students. 

A lifelong ambassador for the Cambridge MBA and the Forté Foundation 

Toyosi, who was awarded the Forté Foundation scholarship for the Cambridge MBA class of 2023/24 along with 4 other classmates, said:  “Scholarships like this propel ambitious women to the top, and I am very grateful to be a recipient. I look forward to being a lifelong ambassador of both the Cambridge MBA and Forté Foundation, and I cannot wait to pay it forward”.

Said Shamiso Barnett, Head of the Cambridge MBA programme: “The Edie Hunt Inspiration award is a wonderful accolade and demonstrates the tremendous contribution and leadership of Toyosi who has excelled in supporting and enhancing opportunities for her fellow female MBA students, as well as those young women in business across the wider University of Cambridge community”.

Nigerian born and UK educated, Toyosi, has also just recently led the Cambridge Africa Business Network annual conference as Co-Chair.

Scholarships like this propel ambitious women to the top, and I am very grateful to be a recipient. I look forward to being a lifelong ambassador of both the Cambridge MBA and Forté Foundation, and I cannot wait to pay it forward.
