Professional history
Daniel is a co-founder of Equitile, which is establishing a new asset management firm offering investors a robust investment strategy supported by a unique fee model.
Daniel has more than 10 years’ experience in corporate finance and M&A. He started his career with FIAT strategic planning and moved onto corporate finance where he managed many of the firm’s investment projects in China. As a co-founder of HE Venture Capital (HEVC) in partnership with a leading Shanghai Venture Capital firm, one of largest and most innovative venture capital firms in Shanghai, he has helped a number of innovative UK companies build a presence in China.
Daniel graduated from the University of Cambridge with a masters degree in engineering. Outside of his commercial activities, he is also pursuing research with Cambridge Judge Business School on the competitiveness of Chinese high-growth listed firms. His doctoral research was part of the UK Innovation Productivity Grand Challenge to provide fresh insights into the generation of wealth from knowledge in advanced economies.
Society & charity work
Daniel is currently the Secretary-General of the Cambridge Judge Business School China Advisory Council which promotes a deeper understanding of China amongst leading practitioner and academics. He was also recently appointed a Global Scot by the Scottish First Minister.
