Professional history
Simon is a General Partner of IQ Capital (based in Cambridge and London) which he joined in June 2020. IQ Capital and its founders have been leaders in the Cambridge technology ecosystem, and more widely across the UK and Europe, for over 25 years.
Prior to joining IQ Capital, from 2007 Simon was a General Partner and COO of Kreos Capital, the pioneer European growth debt provider which grew to over €1bn of assets under management before its acquisition by BlackRock.
Previously, Simon was Group Chief Financial Officer of PA Consulting, a $500m global consulting and technology business, where he was responsible for all aspects of the group’s financial management with a strong focus on supporting the successful programme of tech spin-offs from its Cambridgeshire base.
Simon began his career at Arthur Andersen in London and Frankfurt, working with an international client base on cross-border financing and M&A structures.
He holds an MA in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge.
