Personal and professional development courses
Cambridge Judge Business School actively encourages personal and professional development in order to help staff realise their full potential.
The University’s Staff Development department offers a wide range of courses free of charge to all academic and support staff, varying from half-day sessions to multi-day programmes and residential courses.
Course themes include leadership and management development, communication and presentation, professional skills in the workplace, personal and career development.
Additional training
As well as providing courses the University offers support to staff wishing to undertake training outside of the University, such as:
- Job-related training – funding for support staff to work towards nationally recognised vocational qualifications
- CareerStart@cam – support and vocational training for employees in the early stages of their career
- Accelerated Experience Scheme – promotes career and work flexibility by providing money to support secondments
- Researchers Development Programme – addresses the development issues for contract research staff
All members of staff are also invited to attend many of the lectures and seminars organised by the University’s various departments and societies.
