Join us to celebrate International Women’s Day

Join The Wo+Men’s Leadership Centre at Cambridge Judge Business School on 7 March 2025 for ‘Accelerating Action through Allyship’ a fireside chat and networking.

The event takes place the evening before International Women’s Day and includes a networking and drinks reception, followed by a fireside chat with Q&A ‘Accelerating Action through Allyship’.

The World Economic Forum’s latest Global Gender Gap Report(2024) estimates that it will take 134 years to reach full gender parity (roughly 5 generations).

So, there is clearly work still to be done to achieve gender parity. This panel will focus on the importance of allyship: what it means, why it matters, how it can be done – to take action individually and collectively, to address this pressing challenge. By working together and building a culture of allyship we can accelerate action to close the gender gap.

Shazia Ejaz

Director of Campaigns & Research, Recruitment & Employment Confederation (REC)

Shazia came to the REC as a long-standing communications professional.

Her experience in government comms as well as a range of business areas and political campaigns plays right into the comms and campaign work she informs as REC’s Director of Campaigns.

She worked as part of the project team that developed the REC’s new brand and website and is keen to move the needle on key campaigns for REC members using research and other content to capture the attention of the media, government and other stakeholders.
