Four ventures will present their business ideas as if in a courtroom, while a panel of coaches and mentors will act as the Prosecution.
You, as part of the audience, will serve as the Judge & Jury, determining the winners based on the presentations and responses.

Roles
- Accelerate Cambridge Ventures (Defendants)
- Present and defend the validity, growth potential, and viability of their business ideas.
- Showcase their concept, value proposition, and market opportunity while addressing challenges and answering tough questions.
- Accelerate Cambridge Coaches and Mentors (Prosecution)
- Critically evaluate and cross-examine each Venture.
- Focus on areas like business strategy, financials, scalability and market fit.
- Highlight weaknesses and test the Venture’s ability to respond under pressure.
- Audience (Judge & Jury)
- Participate by voting after the presentations and cross-examinations.
- Decide winners in categories such as ‘Best Pitch’, ‘Most Innovative Solution’ and ‘Best Defence Under Pressure’.
Agenda
- The case (5 minutes per Venture)
- Each Venture presents its business idea, highlighting the problem, solution, market opportunity and competitive advantage.
- The pitch should serve as a compelling opening statement, building a strong case for their startup.
- Cross-examination by the Prosecution (10 minutes per Venture)
- The Prosecution challenges each Venture on critical areas like business model, financials, scalability, risks and market readiness.
- Ventures must defend their ideas confidently with data, evidence and clear responses.
- Supporting testimony and closing statements (2 minutes per Venture)
- Ventures summarise why their startup is a strong investment opportunity.
- Address objections raised during the cross-examination and reinforce the strengths of their business.
- Deliberation and audience vote (2 minutes)

SmileShot is a tech-driven startup transforming dental imaging through AI-powered automation. It addresses inefficiencies in traditional dental photography by automating tasks such as photo categorisation, formatting, editing and layout creation, ensuring adherence to industry standards like the American Association of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD) and the British Association of Cosmetic Dentistry (BACD). The solution integrates with dental practice management software and ensures GDPR compliance for patient records. Targeting the growing digital dental market, SmileShot caters to increasing demand for aesthetic dental treatments and regulatory requirements for accurate documentation. Its standout features include AI-powered categorisation, photo editing, and seamless integration with social media and professional workflows.

This innovative* and yet simple to use device facilitates a process that sits at the heart of all our products and enables healthy, functionalised immune cells to be purified from blood and tumour biopsies, in a single unit, without the need for magnets or centrifugation, thus saving precious time and resources.

ZenVolt is a sustainability-focused platform designed to reward responsible driving and reduce carbon emissions in urban environments. By leveraging cutting-edge technologies such as blockchain and artificial intelligence, ZenVolt incentivises gig economy drivers to adopt eco-friendly practices.
The platform uses the Vx token for seamless, blockchain-based automated rewards and integrates APIs like Uber’s to track driving data. Additionally, personalised AI-driven recommendations help drivers improve their habits further. ZenVolt not only empowers individual drivers but also supports companies like Uber and Deliveroo in achieving their sustainability goals and carbon neutrality.
Our mission is to onboard over 10,000 drivers, reduce urban carbon emissions by 15%, and expand across the UK and beyond, creating a tangible environmental impact. Starting in London, ZenVolt is revolutionizing transportation with scalable, impactful solutions for a sustainable future.
Jade Snow Medical
Jade Snow Medical is harnessing AI and the latest 3D-printing technology to transform surgical training and enhance surgical outcome globally. Using neurosurgical training as a starting point, we developed lifelike 3D-printed brain and skull models to provide surgeons and trainees with hands-on experience which enables them to practise complex procedures in a realistic yet controlled environment. We have delivered over 200 models over 9 training courses at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery at Queen Square London with overwhelmingly positive feedback from both senior surgeons and trainees.
