Overview

Four ventures will present their business ideas as if in a courtroom, while a panel of Coaches & Mentors will act as the Prosecution.

You, as part of the audience, will serve as the Judge & Jury, determining the winners based on the presentations and responses.

  • The Case (5 minutes per venture): Startups present their ideas and make their case.
  • Cross-Examination by Prosecution (10 minutes per venture): Watch as the ventures are scrutinised and challenged.
  • Supporting Testimony and Closing Statements (2 minutes per venture): Hear the final arguments and responses.
  • Deliberation & Vote (5 minutes): Cast your votes and decide the winners in key categories.

ACT Medical

ACT Medical are designing a first-in-class medical device to manage haemorrhage from penetrative trauma, by applying direct internal pressure. ACT’s device will improve haemorrhage control for deep narrow junctional wounds, thus reducing haemorrhage-related mortality by a fifth, saving an estimated 288K lives a year globally. ACT’s medical device has the potential to save 300 lives per year in the UK.
