As a related part of the GEAC initiative, in collaboration with Risk Management Solutions, the Centre for Risk Studies at Cambridge Judge Business School would like to present a Pathfinder webinar.
This showcases various research tracks that are ongoing at the Centre, involving insurance-related catastrophe research and the potential for loss across multiple lines.
We invite GEAC supporters to provide feedback and guidance towards these research activities.
This presentation discusses the business blackout scenario developed in partnership with Lloyds across multiple lines of insurance, and highlight the scenario development process we used. The webinar reflects on the steps taken, and discusses how the same methodology can be applied in the upcoming GEAC scenario discussion.
During this presentation the Centre looks at recent research into the effectiveness of insurance pay-outs for increasing speed of recovery in vulnerable communities, and increasing resilience to catastrophic shocks.
The Centre provides an update on the annual multi-threat ranking, which considers the past year’s events and global trends for the future. This provides an effective overview of the centre’s yearly outlook, and help’s guide future areas of research focus.
