Biography
Haijian was born in Shandong Province in Eastern China, the hometown of the Chinese philosopher Confucius. Owning a bachelor degree of accountancy and an MBA, Haijian never stops his pursuit in professionalism. He has over 20 years’ industry experience, including 12 years as CEO, and the other 12 years as CFO or Finance Manager. He has obtained ACCA, CICPA and CIA certificates, and was elected as steering member of ACCA China during 2014-2019.
Haijian Si is a successful business leader in the new energy industry in China. In the past over 20 years, Haijian has devoted himself into the new energy industry, made outstanding achievements and created significant influence. Haijian is a natural “problem solver”. He led the successful development of several large companies, including LINUO, Hanergy, Huanyu Power and others, and developed excellent experience and knowledge in business management, strategy and operations.
Haijian has been the President and CEO of LINUO Power Group Co., which was the largest private groups in the Shandong Province of China. During his appointment, the performance revenue of LINUO increased from 100 million in 2008 to four billion RMB in 2012, achieving a rapid growth of nearly 40 times. Afterwards, he was appointed as the CEO of Huanyu Power, China, which was invested in by George Soros’s Quantum Group of Funds. He was responsible for the overall operation management of the joint venture company, and achieve a company income growth of 40 per cent. During his time serving as the CEO of Hanergy Thin Film Power Group, a Hong Kong-listed company in the new energy industry, he developed a new distributor model for worldwide household solar power, led and built the largest dealer team in China, and achieved the breakthrough of B2C in the solar energy industry. The company’s market value increased from $4 billion in 2014 to $40 billion in 2019, making the company rank first in the market share in the Chinese new energy industry.
Haijian also served as President and the Executive Chairman of the China New Energy Chamber of Commerce which is China’s largest new energy chamber of commerce with more than 1,000 new energy enterprises. He has led delegates from the new energy industry of China to Europe, Australia and Japan, discussing the industry development and problem solving with NGOs, governments, universities and research institutes.
