As a member of the Energy Policy Research Group, my research interests include emissions drivers, particularly the role of cognitive factors in shaping national emissions trajectories, hierarchical emissions modelling, international environmental cooperation and the deployment of greenhouse gas removal technologies.
Professional experience
Zeynep Clulow is a Research Associate in the Energy Policy Research Group (EPRG) at the University of Cambridge. She holds a BSc in International Relations from the Middle East Technical University, Turkey, an MPhil in International Relations from the University of Cambridge and a PhD in Politics from the University of Nottingham. Her Economic Social Research Council (ESRC)-funded doctoral work investigated the role of instrumentalist factors and worldviews in shaping national emissions trends and state compliance with the global climate regime.
Prior to joining Cambridge, she worked as a Research Fellow on a European Research Council (ERC)-funded project at Warwick University and taught modules on international theory, security and quantitative political analysis at Aston University. Her articles have been published in leading journals, including Climate Policy and Political Ideologies.
