EmberEye

Programme

Pre-Accelerate Cambridge

Sector

Computing/Data/Software

A network of continuously monitoring low-power sensor nodes for fast wildfire detection and localisation, enabling rapid response and effective decision-making as fires develop.

Founding team

Enrico Miraglia Del Giudice

Enrico is an electronics engineer with Meng in Robotics from the University of Manchester.

He has worked in Cambridge for the past 6 years designing a variety of consumer, medical and safety products.

He has experience working with low-power devices, wireless technologies and recently infra-red sensing which culminates in the creation of EmberEye.

Kyle Nisbet

Kyle has a background in remote sensing, specialising in environmental applications. At UC Berkeley, he led projects developing wildfire detection systems using machine learning and satellite imagery analysis. His work included processing Landsat data and creating a Satellite Imagery Novelty Change Detection system.

He has extensive experience in using remote sensing technologies for environmental monitoring and conservation, with a focus on innovative technological solutions.

His background combines technical expertise and practical application, preparing him to contribute effectively to cutting-edge environmental technology projects.
